Haha, if only I thought as straight forward as flow charts. Life would be much more decisive. Would that make it more or less entertaining? Intuitively less… As some of the most entertaining events happen without much thought and, perhaps, with “negative” thought power or, rather, stupidity as the impetus. On the other hand, what if one just had extremely strong opinions all the time; similarly, some of the most meaningful and/or most incredibly stupid thoughts are driven by our obsessiveness.
It’s interesting when decisions actually turn out to go through a flow chart thinking process instead of
A—> Do I want to starve?
If no, B —> Am I feeling motivated enough to put on pants and go outside?
If no, C—> What can I find scrounging around the house that I (or my housemates) haven’t eaten already
D—> and the cycle starts over
Well often the process is truncated due to situational factors, so it’s A or C in the midst of heavy rain or A or B at the sci li at 2 AM. It seems like most of those decisions could probably be more calculated and, thus, bear more fruit.
Regardless, I went through one such interesting process to decide where to eat out for my celebration tonight.
Wendy’s run it is.
I hope I don’t regret celebrating my 21st birthday at Wendy’s instead of something perceived to be more “classy.” That and Chinese take out places have the worst names. Dragon 2000?? Seriously? (Last time, Kevin and I tried to order take-out delivery from Dragon 2000 on a rain day [when A, B, C don’t pan out], and when we finally got a hold of them after 3 calls, they told us the delivery guy had gone home for the day at 7 PM on a weekday. Can you say, fail? On the other hand, if I remember correctly, they are actually quite delicious.)
PS how is Wendy’s Sunday food?
