EDC - Every Day Carrying
Was actually browsing sufu today instead of studying, and I got turned onto EDC, every day carrying. Basically a hobby where people prepare an every day carry for whatever they need from day to day. So many of these hobbyists have a multitool, pocket knives, high luminescent pocket flashlight, self defense implement, elaborate key chains, etc.
So 54 pages later and two hours later. I preordered a flashlight (4Sevens Quarks Mini 123) and a cheap airplane carry-on approved multitool (Gerber Shard).
Study fail.
I guess it is kind of hard to explain why such a hobby would be appealing if it didn’t intuitively make sense to you. It made sense to me immediately. I’m the type of person that likes to always be prepared. I tend to carry a lot of stuff with me, but I never had a go to pack. I’ve thought about preparing such a pack many a times; well, there are people light years ahead of me - should’ve known.
To further my procrastination, I was brainstorming earlier a list of things for my EDC. This should be a good waste of time and $. Probably will be a good outlet for creativity too.
Can’t wait to get more toys ;D
