First personal CC

Got my first (personal) credit card :D

I find it supremely amusing.

My credit line is $4000. My cash advance limit is $1200.

WTF? That is ridiculous yet hilarious. I question why I have such a high limit.

Then I look at the interest rates

Purchase APR: 14.24%, Cash Advance APR 21.99%, Default APR 29.99%

LOL. This is what’s wrong with American credit. Too easy.

What scares me is what happens to people that don’t qualify for credit cards, they can only resort to payday loans, loan sharks, etc. Those interest rates are even higher and sketchier…

I’m pretty happy about the features of the card (Citi Forward) though. It makes it real easy to use.

Decent website interface, Automatic bill-pay, Billing Alerts, Multiple account log-ins, Virtual account # (for on-line shopping which is an ace feature)
