Does the world need nuclear energy?
I think given the question asks about need.
It is clear that the world doesn’t need nuclear energy. I can see the advantages that it gives, but it may be a case by case basis; one should not university say the world needs nuclear energy. Rather, nuclear energy would be helpful in many countries compared to the current situation, but it is not needed nor ideal.
I think it’s also a matter of focus. If one allows nuclear energy to be the next energy solution, than inherently, less innovation will occur in alternative energies.
